Qualifications
Graduate degree in Psychology, Counseling, or a related field is mandatory. A minimum of 3 years experience in a school or similar setting is required. Holding a certification in school counseling or a recognized psychological assessment qualification is preferred. Proficiency in administering and interpreting psychological tests, and familiarity with child and adolescent development, will strengthen your application.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement individual and group counseling programs tailored to students’ emotional and academic needs.
- Conduct assessments, maintain confidential records, and prepare progress reports for students and parents.
- Collaborate with school leaders, teachers, and parents to develop support plans and intervene early in behavioral issues.
- Lead workshops and seminars on stress management, study skills, and mental well‑being for students, staff, and parents.
- Provide crisis intervention and referral services to external mental health professionals when necessary.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of counseling strategies and recommend improvements to the school administration.
- Participate in school governance meetings, offering insights on student welfare and contributing to policy development.
- Maintain a safe and supportive environment, ensuring compliance with school protocols and state regulations.
Compensation
Full‑time position with a monthly salary ranging from Rs.25,000 to Rs.35,000.
