Manchester International School invites a passionate and skilled TGT Computer Science Teacher to join its Coimbatore North campus. Daily Responsibilities
Plan and conduct interactive computer science lessons, ensuring students grasp fundamental concepts like programming logic, algorithms, and basic software development. Prepare engaging classroom activities, hands-on projects, and coding exercises to keep students motivated and interested. Monitor student progress in real-time, offering immediate feedback and guidance on coding assignments and problem-solving tasks. Maintain a well-organized classroom environment, ensuring all necessary resources—computers, software, and printed materials—are readily available for lessons.
Regular Responsibilities Across the Academic Cycle
Develop and update lesson plans that incorporate current trends in computer science, such as AI, cybersecurity, and emerging technologies. Collaborate with the school’s curriculum team to ensure alignment with national education standards and Manchester International School’s unique pedagogical approach. Assess student performance through regular quizzes, projects, and exams, providing constructive evaluations that support their academic growth. Participate in school-wide events and workshops related to computer science, sharing expertise and encouraging student participation in competitions and hackathons.
Periodic Responsibilities
Attend professional development sessions to refine teaching techniques and stay updated on advancements in computer science education. Work closely with parents and guardians to discuss student progress, address concerns, and encourage a supportive learning environment at home. Review and maintain records of student achievements, coding projects, and participation in extracurricular activities to document overall development.
Qualifications and Experience
Hold a postgraduate degree in Computer Science or a related field. Possess a B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification to teach at the TGT level. Gain at least four years of relevant teaching experience, preferably in computer science or a related technical subject. While TET/CTET certification is not mandatory, a strong command of the English language and familiarity with modern teaching tools is essential.
Salary and Location
The selected candidate will be offered a competitive salary of Rs.25,000 to Rs.35,000 per month. The role is based in Coimbatore North, Tamilnadu, with the opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and forward-thinking educational institution.
