Role Summary
Narayana E-techno School | Gobichettipalayam is looking for a PRT Social Science Teacher to shape young minds in the student community of Erode. The teacher will guide students from Classes 1 to 5 in foundational social studies, helping them connect history, geography, and civics to their daily lives. Your Students
You will teach Social Science to children aged 6 to 11 in Gobichettipalayam, Erode. Many students come from local families where Tamil is the primary language, so clear communication and visual aids are important. You will build curiosity about local heritage, festivals, and community roles through stories and simple projects.
Day-to-Day Duties
Prepare weekly lesson plans for Social Science covering history, geography, and civics for Classes 1 to 5.
Conduct activity-based lessons using charts, models, and storytelling to explain concepts.
Create worksheets and simple quizzes to reinforce learning in a fun way.
Organize group discussions on topics like community helpers, festivals of Tamilnadu, and famous local landmarks.
Use demonstrations and role-plays to teach historical events and geographical features.
Monitor student participation and adjust teaching methods to keep all learners engaged.
Communicate regularly with parents about student progress and upcoming school activities.
Required Qualifications
Postgraduate degree in Social Science (History, Geography, Political Science, Economics, or Sociology).
Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) or Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed).
Minimum 2 years of experience teaching Social Science to primary students.
Familiarity with Tamil and English as mediums of instruction is an advantage.
Experience in schools following CBSE or state board patterns is preferred.
