What You Will Do
1. Provide one-on-one and group counselling sessions for students with emotional, behavioural, or social challenges.
2. Design and implement intervention programs aligned with school policies and student needs.
3. Collaborate with school leadership to integrate psychological support within the school framework.
4. Conduct regular assessments to identify students requiring counselling support.
5. Organise workshops for students, parents, and staff on mental health awareness.
6. Maintain confidential student records and prepare reports for school administration.
7. Work closely with special educators and administrative teams to support inclusion.
8. Address concerns raised by parents regarding student behaviour or emotional well-being.
9. Participate in school events and parent-teacher interactions to promote mental health culture.
Who Can Apply
Must Have
- Postgraduate degree in Psychology, Counselling Psychology, or Clinical Psychology
- Minimum 2 years of experience in school counselling or child psychology
- Strong communication skills in English and Tamil
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- Experience working in a school or educational environment
Good to Have
- M.A. or M.Sc in Psychology
- Certification in Counselling or Child Psychology
- Familiarity with Tamil Nadu school system and local student needs
- Experience in crisis intervention or behavioural management
