TGT Chemistry Teacher – Sriperumbudur, Kanchipuram (Full‑time)
Key Responsibilities
The teacher will plan and deliver Chemistry lessons for Classes VI to X, using NCERT syllabus and practical experiments to foster analytical thinking. Preparing lesson plans, worksheets and assessment tools forms a daily routine, while maintaining classroom discipline and encouraging student participation. Regular feedback to parents and coordination with senior faculty ensure smooth academic progress.
Weekly Activities
A typical week involves conducting theory sessions, supervising laboratory work, and evaluating class tests. Teachers grade assignments, update student records and attend short faculty meetings to discuss curriculum updates and school events. Interaction with peers for cross‑subject projects and occasional counseling of students are also part of the routine.
Periodic Duties
At the end of each term, the teacher prepares comprehensive exam papers, conducts practical examinations and marks lab reports. Participation in school‑wide science fairs, parent‑teacher meetings and professional development workshops is expected. Updating the Chemistry teaching material according to the latest Board guidelines is done periodically.
Qualifications & Experience
Post‑graduate degree in Chemistry with B.Ed or D.El.Ed is mandatory. Minimum two years of teaching experience in a school setting is required. Candidates with TET/CTET certification will be preferred. The role is open to those holding a valid teaching licence as per state regulations.
Salary
The remuneration for this position is Rs.21,000 - Rs.30,000 per month.
