Who You Will Teach
The role involves teaching students in the Nursery and Lower Kindergarten levels. These children are at the stage where foundational concepts in Environmental Studies begin to take root. Your patience and creativity will help them explore nature, community, and basic science through age-appropriate activities.
What You Will Do
Plan and deliver Evs lessons using stories, songs, and hands-on activities tailored for nursery and LKG children. Organize nature walks and simple experiments within school premises to make learning experiential. Create visual aids and flashcards that explain animals, plants, weather, and community helpers clearly.
Assess each child’s grasp of Evs through informal observations and playful tasks rather than formal tests. Maintain records of individual progress in a simple, practical format shared with parents during updates. Collaborate with NTT colleagues to align Evs themes with other subjects like language and art.
Coordinate with the school’s activity coordinators to include local festivals and farming practices in Evs discussions. Ensure classroom materials like seeds, pictures, and models are organized and safe for young learners. Attend weekly teacher meetings to share observations and plan upcoming Evs themes.
Required Qualifications
Applicants must be graduates with B.Ed or D.El.Ed in Early Childhood Education. A valid TET or CTET certificate is preferred but not mandatory. Prior experience teaching Evs to nursery or LKG students is essential. Familiarity with Tamil and English medium teaching is beneficial.
