Role Summary
We invite applications for the position of TGT Social Science Teacher at Good Shepherd International School in Kotagiri, Nilgiris, Tamilnadu. This is a full-time teaching role that requires a passionate and experienced Social Science teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Social Science to students from classes 6 to 10.
What You Will Do
1. Teach Social Science to students from classes 6 to 10, as per the curriculum set by the school.
2. Prepare and deliver engaging lesson plans to cater to the needs of diverse learners.
3. Assess student progress and provide feedback to improve academic performance.
4. Develop and implement innovative teaching methods to enhance student learning outcomes.
5. Collaborate with colleagues to plan and implement interdisciplinary projects.
6. Conduct Parent-Teacher Meetings to discuss student progress and provide guidance.
7. Participate in Staff Meetings and contribute to school-wide decisions.
8. Attend workshops and training sessions to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
9. Maintain a well-organized and student-friendly classroom environment.
Eligibility Criteria
Must Have:
- Bachelor's degree in Social Science or related field
- B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree
- Minimum 3 years of experience in teaching Social Science
- Good knowledge of the Tamil Nadu state syllabus and curriculum
Good to Have:
- CTET or TET certification
- Master's degree in Social Science or related field
- Experience in teaching Social Science in a school setting
