Job Description
Role Summary:
The Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) in Chemistry will be responsible for delivering high-quality education to students in grades 6 through 10, fostering a deep understanding and appreciation of chemical sciences. The incumbent will adhere to the curriculum standards prescribed by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) or the respective state board, ensuring alignment with educational policies and compliance with regulatory frameworks.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Curriculum Delivery and Lesson Planning:
a. Develop and implement lesson plans in accordance with the prescribed syllabus, ensuring coverage of all required topics in Chemistry for grades 6 through 10.
b. Utilize a variety of teaching methodologies, including demonstrations, experiments, and digital resources, to enhance student engagement and comprehension.
c. Ensure that lesson plans are aligned with the school’s academic calendar and examination schedule.
2. Classroom Management and Student Engagement:
a. Maintain a disciplined and conducive learning environment in the classroom, fostering mutual respect and collaboration among students.
b. Implement strategies to address diverse learning needs, including differentiated instruction and support for students with varying academic abilities.
c. Encourage student participation in co-curricular activities related to Chemistry, such as science fairs, quizzes, and laboratory competitions.
3. Assessment and Evaluation:

4. Laboratory Management:

c. Ensure the availability and proper functioning of laboratory equipment, reporting any deficiencies or hazards to the appropriate authorities.

a. Participate in professional development programs, workshops, and training sessions to enhance pedagogical skills and stay updated with advancements in Chemistry education.
b. Collaborate with colleagues, department heads, and school management to develop and implement school-wide initiatives and improvement plans.
c. Contribute to the development of curriculum resources, teaching aids, and assessment tools in collaboration with the Chemistry department.
6. Compliance and Reporting:
a. Ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements related to education, including those prescribed by the CBSE, state board, or other relevant authorities.

Qualification and Experience Requirements:
Minimum Requirements:
a. Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry (B.Sc. in Chemistry) from a recognized university.
b. Postgraduate degree in Chemistry (M.Sc. in Chemistry) from a recognized university.
c. One year of teaching experience in a recognized educational institution.
d. Proficiency in English and the regional language (as applicable).
e. Compliance with the eligibility criteria prescribed by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) or the respective state board for the position of TGT Chemistry.
Preferred Requirements:
a. Teaching certification or completion of a teacher training program (e.g., B.Ed., D.Ed., or equivalent).
