ACCOUNTANT Job in Tiruchirappalli, Tamilnadu | School Vacancy
About This Role
The ACCOUNTANT position at Srv Matriculation School in Lalgudi, Tiruchirappalli is a full-time role responsible for managing the school’s financial records, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and supporting administrative decision-making. Day-to-Day Duties
Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, ledgers, and reports for Srv Matriculation School.
Process all fee collections, vendor payments, and salary disbursements with strict adherence to
Reconcile bank accounts monthly and ensure all transactions are properly recorded and verified.
Monitor and report on cash flow to support day-to-day operations in Lalgudi and Tiruchirappalli.
Handle GST compliance, TDS deductions, and filing of monthly and annual returns.
Assist in preparing the annual budget and tracking expenditures against allocated funds.
Coordinate with auditors during internal and external audits to ensure accuracy.
Implement and maintain accounting software to improve efficiency in financial record-keeping.
Eligibility Criteria
Must Have: Postgraduate degree in Commerce with minimum 2 years of experience in accounting. Experience in educational institutions preferred.
Good to Have: Knowledge of Tally or similar accounting software. Familiarity with school fee structures and government financial regulations.
