Job Description
PGT Physical Education Teacher Job in Tiruchirappalli, Tamilnadu | School Recruitment
Watching students sprint across the playground in Lalgudi, their energy never fails to remind us how Physical Education shapes not just bodies but minds too. That’s the kind of impact we’re looking for at Srv Academy, where the playground is as important as the classroom.
What makes this School special
Srv Academy in Lalgudi stands out for its belief that sports and fitness are core to student development. The school’s sports facilities include a well-maintained playground, indoor badminton court, and a dedicated fitness zone. Teachers here don’t just instruct—they inspire, mentor, and become part of the community’s sporting culture.
A typical day or week in this role
Planning and conducting daily Physical Education classes for grades 9 to 12 is central. You’ll design age-appropriate fitness routines, track student progress, and organize inter-house sports events every month. The school hosts an annual sports day and participates in district-level tournaments, where your coaching skills will be in full view.
Coordinating with the school’s health and wellness committee is part of the role. You’ll also assist in maintaining sports equipment and ensuring safety during all physical activities. Regular parent-teacher interactions keep families informed about their child’s progress in sports and fitness.
Who would thrive here
A postgraduate in Physical Education with at least two years of teaching experience will fit right in. Holding a B.Ed or D.El.Ed adds value, and while TET/CTET isn’t mandatory, it’s appreciated. More than degrees, we look for someone who loves sports, can motivate students, and enjoys being part of a close-knit school community.
The rewards
This Physical Education Teaching Job in Tiruchirappalli offers a monthly salary between Rs.20,000 and Rs.30,000 along with a supportive work environment. You’ll receive access to school sports facilities, professional development opportunities, and the satisfaction of seeing students grow in confidence through physical activity.
