Your responsibilities
Teach TGT Mathematics to Grades 6 to 10 using blended lesson plans aligned with the Tamil Nadu State Board syllabus. Integrate GeoGebra, Khan Academy, and local Tamil e-content into daily teaching to enhance understanding. Conduct remedial sessions for students scoring below 40% in unit tests to ensure no child is left behind. Organize inter-house Mathematics fairs where students present projects on Vedic math, cryptography, and astronomy. Collaborate with the science department to create cross-disciplinary projects that show Mathematics in daily life. Maintain digital attendance and assessment records on the school ERP system for transparent tracking. Participate in quarterly curriculum review meetings to suggest updates based on student feedback.
Qualifications and digital literacy requirements
Postgraduate degree in Mathematics with minimum 55% marks from a recognized university. B.Ed or D.El.Ed from an NCTE-approved institution. Working knowledge of Google Classroom, Zoom, and basic spreadsheet tools is essential. Experience in using educational apps on Android tablets will be an advantage.
Skills for the modern classroom
Fluency in spoken Tamil and English to connect with students across Lalgudi and Tiruchirappalli. Patience to explain the same concept multiple ways until every student grasps it. Ability to design low-cost teaching aids using locally available materials for hands-on learning.
Salary and benefits
Monthly salary ranges from Rs.18,000 to Rs.30,000 based on qualifications and experience. School provides annual professional development allowance for Mathematics teachers to attend workshops and seminars. Free transport from central Tiruchirappalli to Lalgudi is available for staff.
