The reality of this role
At Srv Matriculation School, the day starts with a quick briefing in the science block, followed by preparing lab experiments for the next class. You will conduct interactive lessons in physics, chemistry, and biology, ensuring students grasp core concepts while staying engaged. The role also involves grading assignments and coordinating with senior teachers on curriculum alignment.
What you will actually do
1. Deliver daily science lessons to classes 6-8, using visual aids and hands‑on activities.
2. Design and supervise practical lab sessions, maintaining safety protocols.
3. Prepare teaching materials and worksheets aligned with state guidelines.
4. Assess student performance through quizzes, projects, and lab reports.
5. Mentor junior staff and assist in teacher training workshops.
6. Coordinate with parents during science fairs and school exhibitions.
7. Update attendance and report academic progress to the principal.
8. Participate in school science committees and curriculum review meetings.
Who can do this job
Post‑graduate degree in Science with a B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification.
Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in a school setting.
TET or CTET certification preferred but not mandatory.
Strong command of English and Tamil for classroom communication.
