Vels Vidhyalaya

Welcome to Vel’s Vidhyalaya in Palayamkottai, a lively part of Tirunelveli where the mornings start with the hum of students gathering on a campus that stretches over four thousand square metres. Since opening our doors in 2020, we have grown into a co‑educational community of about seven hundred and twenty‑odd learners, ranging from the curious toddlers in nursery to the determined seniors preparing for board examinations. The school sits under the care of the Veeramahali Muthaiah Chennai Educational Trust, and the surrounding neighbourhood, with its blend of tradition and modernity, offers a pleasant backdrop for both work and play.

Our academic life revolves around the CBSE curriculum, delivered entirely in English, and is supported by a range of resources that make teaching both effective and enjoyable. Smart classrooms fitted with interactive boards and multimedia tools let lessons come alive, while well‑equipped laboratories for physics, chemistry, biology, computer science and mathematics give students hands‑on experience. The library is more than a quiet room; it’s a hub of books, journals and digital material that encourages exploration beyond the textbook. With a student‑to‑teacher ratio that allows for personal attention, our thirty‑seven‑strong faculty team finds space to mentor, experiment with new ideas and see the impact of their work each day.

For a teacher looking for a place where professional growth feels natural, Vel’s Vidhyalaya offers more than just classrooms. The campus includes a football field, basketball court, indoor games area and even a yoga and meditation room, so you can join students in activities that balance mind and body. The community values collaboration, so you’ll often find colleagues sharing resources, discussing strategies over a cup of tea, and celebrating each other's successes. If you enjoy a setting where modern facilities meet a close‑knit school family, you’ll feel right at home here, contributing to the journey of bright, eager minds while finding your own work life enriched and rewarding.
