Role Summary
The Hostel Warden will oversee the daily operations of the boys’ and girls’ hostels at Narayana E-techno School, Tirumalagiri. You will manage staff, ensure student safety, and maintain a disciplined yet homely environment. Prior experience in residential school hostels is essential. What You Will Do
1. Supervise hostel staff including matrons, attendants and security personnel.
2. Conduct night rounds and verify dormitory checks for all floors.
3. Maintain attendance records of boarders and report absentees to parents immediately.
4. Organise weekly cleaning drives and ensure hygiene in wash areas.
5. Coordinate with the Narayana E-techno School admin for fee collection and deposit.
6. Handle parent visits on weekends and guide them through hostel facilities.
7. Monitor study hours by switching off lights only after the last student has finished.
8. Manage petty cash for stationery and medical emergencies within the hostel.
9. Prepare monthly reports on student behaviour, discipline issues and suggestions for improvement.
Eligibility
Must Have
- Postgraduate degree in any discipline.
- Minimum two years of experience as a hostel warden or deputy warden in a school or college hostel.
- Working knowledge of Telugu and English; Hindi is an added advantage.
- Basic computer skills for maintaining daily logs and sending parent updates.
Good to Have
- Certification in disaster management or first aid.
- Exposure to CBSE/ICSE hostel protocols.
- Experience in handling students from grades 6 to 12.
