Role Summary
We are seeking a Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) in Economics to join our faculty team. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Economics to students at the senior secondary level, preparing lesson plans, and assessing student progress. The PGT Economics Teacher will also contribute to the development of the Economics curriculum and participate in departmental meetings.
Day-to-Day Duties
- Teach Economics to senior secondary students
- Prepare and deliver lesson plans for Economics
- Assess student progress and provide feedback
- Develop and implement the Economics curriculum
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum development
- Maintain student records and attendance
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan extracurricular activities
- Supervise students during co-curricular activities
- Participate in staff development programs
Required Qualifications
- Post Graduate degree in Economics or a related field
- B.Ed. or D.El.Ed. degree for teaching positions
- TET/CTET certification is preferred but not essential
- Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in Economics
- Strong subject knowledge and teaching skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Salary and Benefits
The salary for this position is Rs.35,000 - Rs.60,000 per month, depending on experience. Additionally, the successful candidate will be entitled to benefits such as:
