Classroom Profile

What You Will Do
Plan and deliver daily lessons aligned with the NCERT syllabus and school academic calendar. Prepare worksheets, mind maps, and short case studies to reinforce concepts like memory, personality, and mental health.
Organize monthly guest talks by psychologists, counsellors, and senior students to share real-world insights on stress management and career paths in psychology. These sessions help students connect theory with practice.
Conduct periodic tests and viva voce to track progress in understanding psychological theories and research methods. Provide individual feedback to students on their strengths and areas needing improvement.
Lead the Psychology Club where students present research papers, conduct surveys, and organize awareness campaigns on topics like cyberbullying and adolescent anxiety.
Coordinate with the Counselling Cell to support students showing signs of exam stress or emotional challenges through structured intervention programs.
Attend weekly subject meetings to align teaching strategies with school-wide learning outcomes and share best practices with other PGT teachers.
Participate in parent-teacher meetings and orientation sessions to explain the importance of psychology in student development and suggest home-based support techniques.
Required Qualifications
Post Graduate degree in Psychology from a recognized university with a minimum of 55% marks. B.Ed or D.El.Ed from a NCTE-recognized institution is mandatory.
Three years of full-time teaching experience in Psychology at the senior secondary level in a CBSE or State Board school is required. TET or CTET is preferred but not mandatory.
