Plan and conduct daily physical education classes, ensuring age-appropriate activities like games, athletics, and yoga. Engage students with fun, interactive drills and team-building exercises tailored to their skill levels. Maintain a safe and organized sports facility, including equipment storage and basic upkeep. Prepare and distribute lesson plans, activity sheets, and progress reports to track student participation and improvement.
Regular Responsibilities Across the Academic Cycle
Coordinate with the school’s sports committee to organize inter-house competitions and extracurricular events. Collaborate with other teachers to integrate physical education into curriculum-based projects and assessments. Attend school meetings to discuss sports policies, curriculum updates, and student performance trends. Ensure compliance with safety protocols during outdoor activities and sports events.
Periodic Responsibilities
Participate in school-level sports tournaments and represent Iris Florets World School in local competitions. Conduct parent-teacher interactions to discuss student progress in physical fitness and sportsmanship. Organize seasonal sports camps or workshops to enhance skills in areas like swimming, cricket, or martial arts.
Qualifications and Experience
Hold a B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree with a focus on physical education. Minimum one year of teaching experience in a school setting, preferably in physical education or sports-related subjects. A TET/CTET certificate is preferred but not mandatory. Strong knowledge of Indian sports, basic first aid, and experience in managing diverse student groups are essential.
Salary and Location
The selected candidate will be offered a monthly salary of Rs.16,000 to Rs.30,000, depending on qualifications and experience. The role is based in Himayatnagar, Hyderabad, Telangana, with full-time employment at Iris Florets World School.
