The right teacher will bring Telugu alive in classrooms where many students speak English or other languages at home but need strong roots in Telugu literature and grammar.
Your Students
You will teach Classes 1 to 5, working with 60 to 70 young learners who arrive with varied Telugu exposure. Some need gentle reinforcement of basic script while others are ready for simple poetry recitals and story writing. Your lessons must bridge these gaps without losing the joy of learning.
What You Will Do
Prepare daily Telugu lessons aligned to NCERT and state syllabus for primary sections, using flash cards and local stories from Telangana.
Conduct morning circle time in Telugu to build vocabulary and pronunciation among 5-10 year olds.
Grade notebooks twice a week and give short feedback stickers in Telugu to encourage neat writing.
Organise monthly Telugu assemblies where students recite poems or perform short skits in the language.
Collaborate with the Telugu co-curricular teacher to plan cultural events like Bonalu or Bathukamma celebrations.
Attend weekly subject meetings to share student progress and adjust teaching strategies.
Maintain attendance registers and update parent communication sheets in English and Telugu.
Required Qualifications
Graduation in any discipline with Telugu as a subject or Telugu as the medium of study.
B.Ed or D.El.Ed from a recognised institution.
TET/CTET is preferred but not mandatory for this PRT Telugu Teacher Vacancy in Hyderabad.
Minimum two years of Telugu teaching experience at primary level.
Fluency in spoken and written Telugu; basic English required for school communication.
