Sanskrit (TGT) Vacancy in Asifnagar, Hyderabad, Telangana
Ravindra Bharathi School, Mehdipatnam
Job Description
Institution Environment
Ravindra Bharathi School, Mehdipatnam sits in the heart of Asifnagar, where the daily hum of Hyderabad traffic meets the quiet focus of young learners. The Sanskrit department is small but lively, a group of teachers who plan lessons together, share teaching aids, and celebrate student milestones in the assembly hall. Teachers here are encouraged to bring local flavour into the classroom—whether it’s a short sloka competition during Sankranti or a storytelling session on the banks of the Musi that connects to Panchatantra.
Role Summary
Ravindra Bharathi School, Mehdipatnam invites applications for a full-time TGT Sanskrit Teacher to handle Classes VI–X. The role involves planning daily lessons, conducting assessments, and fostering a classroom culture where students see Sanskrit as a living language rather than a textbook subject. Familiarity with Telugu-medium students and CBSE curriculum expectations is a plus.
What You Will Do
Create weekly lesson plans aligned to CBSE Sanskrit syllabus for middle and secondary sections.
Use local examples—market scenes, temple stories, folk metres—to make grammar and poetry engaging.
Conduct daily practice sessions on shloka recitation and simple conversational Sanskrit.
Organise quarterly Sanskrit week with elocution, skit and quiz competitions judged by senior teachers.
Grade notebooks and assignments within 48 hours and upload marks on the school ERP.
Attend monthly subject enrichment meetings to review new teaching resources and share student work samples.
Prepare students for Sanskrit Olympiads and state-level competitions through weekend practice batches.
Collaborate with the art and music departments to stage Ramayana or Mahabharata themed cultural programmes.
Eligibility Criteria
Postgraduate degree in Sanskrit with minimum 50% marks.
B.Ed or D.El.Ed from a recognised institution.
Two years of classroom teaching experience in a school setting.
Fluency in English and Telugu; ability to explain Sanskrit grammar in both languages.
Prior experience with CBSE Sanskrit textbooks for Classes VI–X preferred.
What You Get
Monthly consolidated salary between Rs.20,000 and Rs.35,000 based on experience and qualifications.
School holidays, state and national festival leaves, and reimbursement for approved textbooks.
In-house professional development through workshops and peer observations.
Ravindra Bharathi School, Mehdipatnam provides a collaborative work environment, modern classrooms, and a supportive leadership team that values subject expertise and student well-being.
