About This Role
This is a senior position in the Hindi department at Ravindra Bharti School, Saroornagar. The role is designed for an experienced Hindi educator who can lead curriculum development, mentor junior staff, and drive academic excellence in Hindi for grades 6 to 10. The position carries responsibility for shaping the Hindi language program and contributing to school-wide educational outcomes.
What You Will Do
Plan and deliver the Hindi curriculum for TGT classes, ensuring alignment with CBSE standards and school academic goals. Own the Hindi department’s yearly academic calendar, including unit plans, assessments, and co-curricular activities like Hindi Diwas celebrations.
Mentor and guide 3 to 5 junior Hindi teachers, conducting classroom observations, providing feedback, and organizing department meetings to share best practices. Support new teachers in lesson planning and classroom management specific to Hindi language teaching.
Analyze board exam trends in Hindi, identify gaps, and design targeted interventions for students scoring below grade level. Work closely with the academic coordinator to set Hindi subject targets and track progress through periodic assessments.
Prepare students for Hindi recitation competitions, debates, and inter-school events to enhance engagement and language fluency. Collaborate with other departments to integrate Hindi language skills across subjects like social studies and environmental studies.
Develop and maintain a resource library of Hindi teaching aids, including audio-visual content, storybooks, and grammar exercises tailored to TGT learners. Introduce digital tools like interactive whiteboards to modernize Hindi instruction.
Conduct parent-teacher meetings to discuss student progress in Hindi and suggest home-based learning strategies. Present departmental updates and academic reports in staff meetings and school assemblies.
Required Qualifications
Postgraduate degree in Hindi with a minimum of 55% marks. B.Ed or D.El.Ed in Hindi from a recognized institution is mandatory. TET or CTET certification is preferred but not compulsory for this role.
Minimum 5 years of teaching experience in Hindi at the secondary level, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or mentoring capacity. Experience in curriculum design and assessment in Hindi for CBSE-affiliated schools is highly desirable.
Familiarity with NEP 2020 guidelines and proficiency in integrating them into Hindi language teaching are added advantages. Knowledge of regional Telugu-Hindi bilingual pedagogy is beneficial for this Saroornagar location.
