Responsibilities
Oversee daily scheduling of dance activities, practice sessions and performances, ensuring optimal use of studio space and equipment. Maintain records of student participation, attendance and progress reports, and liaise with parents for updates and feedback. Prepare and manage budgets for costumes, props and external workshops, keeping expenditures within allocated limits.
Organise annual cultural festivals, inter‑school competitions and community outreach programmes, handling logistics, venue bookings and vendor negotiations. Work closely with the school’s administration to align the dance curriculum with overall academic calendars and school policies.
Monitor compliance with health and safety standards in the dance studio, conduct regular equipment checks and ensure a safe environment for all participants. Provide guidance to senior students on choreography, event planning and leadership, fostering a culture of responsibility and creativity.
Qualifications
Graduate degree from a recognized university. Formal training in dance with demonstrable experience in managing dance programmes or related extracurricular activities. Minimum two years of relevant experience in an educational or community setting.
Preferred candidates will have completed B.Ed or D.El.Ed and hold TET/CTET certification, though these are not mandatory for this administrative role.
Salary
The position offers a monthly remuneration of Rs.15,000 – Rs.30,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
