ASSISTANT PROFESSOR - Electrical Machines in Warangal, Telangana | University Recruitment — Applications invited as per UGC norms.
Role Summary
Sr University invites applications for the post of ASSISTANT PROFESSOR - Electrical Machines in the Electrical Engineering Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and research in the field of Electrical Machines. The appointment will be made as per UGC norms.
What You Will Do
- Teach undergraduate courses such as Electrical Machines, Transformers, and Generators to engineering students.
- Teach postgraduate courses such as Power Electronics and Drives, Electrical Machines Design, and Control Systems.
- Develop and deliver new courses in Electrical Machines and related areas.
- Conduct research and publish papers in peer-reviewed journals.
- Guide postgraduate students in their research projects.
- Participate in curriculum development and academic planning.
- Develop and maintain laboratory facilities for Electrical Machines and related experiments.
- Supervise and guide undergraduate and postgraduate students in their projects and research work.
- Participate in academic and administrative activities of the department.
Postgraduate Students
The successful candidate will be responsible for guiding master's level courses, project work, and research in the field of Electrical Machines. The candidate will be expected to guide students in their research projects and help them in publishing their research papers in peer-reviewed journals.
Eligibility Criteria
The candidate should have a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 55% marks in the qualifying examination. Alternatively, the candidate should have a Master's degree with a minimum of 55% marks and should have cleared UGC-NET (National Eligibility Test) or SLET (State Level Eligibility Test) in Electrical Engineering.
Career Opportunities
The successful candidate will be eligible for career advancement based on the Academic Performance Index (API) score. The API score is calculated based on research publications, academic performance, and other academic activities. The candidate will be eligible for promotion to the post of Associate Professor and Professor based on the API score.
Perks and Pay
The selected candidate will be paid a salary of Rs.30,000 - Rs.45,000 per month. The candidate will also be eligible for allowances as per UGC norms. The appointment will be made as per the rules and regulations of the State Government of Telangana and UGC. The candidate will be eligible for other benefits such as medical insurance, housing allowance, and other perks as per UGC norms.
