ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR - Electrical Machines in Warangal, Telangana | University Recruitment
Role Summary:
The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Sr University, a premier institution in Hasanparthy, Warangal, Telangana, invites applications for the position of ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR - Electrical Machines. Day-to-Day Duties:
As an ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR - Electrical Machines, the successful candidate will be expected to:
- Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in electrical machines, drives, and power electronics.
- Conduct research in areas of electrical machines, drives, and power electronics, leading to publications in top-tier international journals.
- Supervise Ph.D. students and guide them in their research work.
- Collaborate with other faculty members on interdisciplinary research projects.
- Develop and maintain a strong research laboratory with necessary infrastructure.
- Participate in academic and administrative activities of the department.
- Collaborate with industry partners on sponsored research projects.
Who Can Apply:
The ideal candidate should have a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or a related field from a recognized university. Postdoctoral research experience is preferred. The candidate should have a strong research background in electrical machines, drives, and power electronics, with a good track record of publications in top-tier international journals.
Academic Projects:
The successful candidate will be expected to participate in collaborative research projects with other faculty members, both within and outside the department. The department has several ongoing research projects, including those funded by the government and industry partners. The candidate will also be expected to identify and pursue research funding opportunities, both individually and in collaboration with other faculty members.
Doctoral Guidance:
The ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR - Electrical Machines will be expected to guide Ph.D. students in their research work and evaluate their thesis. The candidate should have experience in guiding Ph.D. students and have a good understanding of the research evaluation process.
Salary and Benefits:
The successful candidate will be offered a salary of Rs.50,000 - Rs.70,000 per month, as per the UGC norms. The candidate will also be eligible for research grants and other benefits as per the university's rules and regulations.
Note: The University reserves the right to fill up the position or vary the terms of appointment as per its requirements.
