Day-to-Day Duties
As a PROFESSOR of Computer Networks, you will be responsible for:
- Teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Computer Networks, including Network Architecture, Network Protocols, and Network Security.
- Conducting research in emerging areas of Computer Networks, such as Software-Defined Networking (SDN) and Network Function Virtualization (NFV).
- Publishing papers in top-tier international conferences and journals, such as IEEE/ACM conferences and Transactions on Networking.
- Supervising Ph.D. students and guiding them in their research projects.
- Evaluating thesis proposals and thesis reports of Ph.D. students.
- Collaborating with other faculty members to develop new courses and research initiatives.
- Participating in departmental and university-level decision-making processes.
Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for this position, you must have:
- A Ph.D. degree in Computer Science and Engineering or a related field from a recognized university.
- A strong research background with a minimum of 5 years of post-Ph.D. experience.
- UGC-NET or UGC-CSIR NET with Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) is desirable.
- Experience in teaching and research in a university or college is essential.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills are necessary for effective collaboration with colleagues and students.
