Role Summary
Sr University’s Electronics and Communication Engineering department is recognized for its strong research focus in embedded systems, VLSI design, and digital signal processing. This Digital Electronics PROFESSOR Job in Warangal, Telangana will anchor advanced teaching in digital system design, microcontroller applications, and FPGA-based prototyping while leading sponsored research projects.
What You Will Do
Teach core and elective courses in digital electronics, HDL programming, and system-on-chip design to undergraduate and postgraduate students. Supervise M.Tech and B.Tech projects aligned with current industry trends in IoT and automation. Publish original research in Scopus-indexed journals and present findings at national conferences hosted by ISTE and IEEE Hyderabad sections.
Secure external funding from DST, AICTE, or industry partners for cutting-edge lab upgrades and student internships. Mentor student teams participating in national competitions like Smart India Hackathon and Texas Instruments India Analog Design Challenge. Develop MOOCs on NPTEL or SWAYAM platforms to extend Sr University’s reach in digital electronics education.
Organize workshops on tools such as Xilinx Vivado, Cadence Virtuoso, and MATLAB Simulink for faculty and industry professionals. Chair departmental committees on curriculum revision and accreditation under NBA and NAAC cycles. Represent Sr University at academic forums in Warangal, Hyderabad, and Bengaluru to strengthen industry linkages.
Eligibility Criteria
A PhD in Electronics and Communication Engineering or Electrical Engineering with specialization in Digital Electronics is mandatory. Minimum five years of teaching and research experience in a UGC-recognized university or autonomous institution is required. UGC-NET with JRF or CSIR-NET qualification is necessary if the PhD is not completed.
Post-doctoral research or industry experience in semiconductor design houses like Intel, Qualcomm, or domestic firms in Hyderabad will be preferred. Experience in guiding PhD scholars and managing sponsored projects under DST, SERB, or AICTE schemes will be given additional weight. Proficiency in HDLs such as Verilog and VHDL is essential.
Research & Publications
Sr University offers seed grants up to Rs.5 lakh for new faculty to initiate research in low-power digital circuits and reconfigurable architectures. Collaborative projects with NIT Warangal and IIIT Hyderabad are encouraged under the TEQIP-III initiative. Faculty members are supported to attend international conferences in Europe and the US with partial travel funding.
Expected outcomes include at least two Scopus/WoS publications annually and one patent or copyright filing every two years.
