PROFESSOR - Machine Learning in Warangal, Telangana | University Recruitment
Role Summary
Sr University’s Department of Computer Science and Engineering is expanding its Machine Learning research group in Hasanparthy, Warangal. The department is recognized for its interdisciplinary projects in AI-driven healthcare, smart agriculture, and cybersecurity. What You Will Do
Design and deliver advanced Machine Learning courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels for Sr University’s engineering and science programs. Contribute to curriculum development by introducing specialized electives such as Deep Learning, Reinforcement Learning, and Ethical AI. Lead research in applied Machine Learning with focus on real-world datasets from Telangana’s agriculture and healthcare sectors.
Publish high-impact research papers in peer-reviewed journals indexed in Scopus and Web of Science. Collaborate with industry partners in Warangal and Hyderabad to develop AI solutions for local enterprises. Secure external research funding through DST, SERB, or industry-sponsored projects to support students and lab infrastructure.
Guide doctoral students in their Ph.D. research, ensuring timely thesis completion and publication in reputed conferences. Serve on academic committees including Board of Studies, Research Advisory Council, and faculty recruitment panels at Sr University. Mentor junior faculty and coordinate interdisciplinary projects with departments of Electrical Engineering and Data Science.
Required Qualifications
A Ph.D. in Computer Science, Data Science, or a closely related field is mandatory for this Professor position in Warangal. A minimum of five years of teaching and research experience at the university level is required. UGC-NET qualified candidates with JRF are preferred, though Sr University also considers exceptional candidates with strong research portfolios even without NET.
Post-doctoral research experience in Machine Learning or Artificial Intelligence is highly desirable. Demonstrated ability to lead funded research projects and supervise Ph.D. scholars is essential. Familiarity with Indian research funding agencies and institutional policies is an added advantage.
