Core responsibilities
Conduct daily PE classes for grades 9–12 with structured warm-ups, skill drills, and cool-down routines. Organize annual sports day, house matches, and athletics meets on campus grounds. Maintain inventory of sports equipment and ensure safety during drills and games. Collaborate with the school counselor on student fitness assessments and wellness programs. Integrate yoga and mindfulness breaks for stress relief among senior students. Coach at least one competitive team—football, basketball, or athletics—to regional levels. Document student progress in physical fitness and sports participation. Mentor student leaders as sports prefects and team captains.
What you bring to the table
A postgraduate degree in Physical Education with a minimum of four years of teaching experience at the secondary level. A valid B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification is mandatory; TET/CTET is an added advantage. Proven ability to train athletes and organize large-scale sporting events. Familiarity with Tripura’s climate and local sports preferences—football and athletics—will help tailor programs effectively.
