Job Description
PRT Social Science Teacher Job in West Tripura, Tripura | School Recruitment
The school community and culture
Delhi World Public School Agartala in Sadar, West Tripura, is where small classes meet big conversations. Every child here learns to question, debate, and connect ideas across history, geography, and civics from day one. We keep the classroom lively with local stories—whether tracing the Meghna’s path or debating Tripura’s role in the freedom struggle—so Social Science feels alive.
What it's like to work here
Teachers here plan lessons around real-life trips to the nearby Ujjayanta Palace or weekly news discussions on Tripura’s development. The staff room is a buzz of shared resources and quick coffee breaks between periods. You’ll find colleagues more like mentors, swapping ideas on how to make the syllabus relatable to students from Agartala’s mixed backgrounds.
Your role in the community
As a PRT Social Science Teacher Vacancy in West Tripura at Delhi World Public School Agartala, you will lead daily Social Science periods for grades 1–5 with activity-based learning. Organize monthly field visits to local heritage sites and markets to ground textbook lessons in local reality. Design age-appropriate projects like “My Family Tree” or “Tripura in Maps” that students present to parents. Collaborate with PRT colleagues to integrate Social Science with English and EVS through storytelling and role-plays. Maintain anecdotal records of each child’s progress in social understanding and participation. Attend weekly staff meetings to share student observations and adjust plans. Participate in PTMs where you explain Social Science progress in simple terms to parents. Support school events like Independence Day tableaux that often feature Social Science themes.
Who fits in here
We look for graduates with a B.Ed or D.El.Ed who can simplify complex ideas for young minds. TET or CTET is not mandatory but gives you an edge in understanding child psychology. A passion for Tripura’s stories and patience to repeat concepts matter more than years alone. You should enjoy guiding children through their first debates and map-reading exercises without rushing the process.
What you get
The Social Science Teaching Job in Sadar, West Tripura, offers Rs.18,000 to Rs.30,000 per month based on experience and qualifications. You also receive a school diary, two sets of uniforms, and reimbursement for local travel to field sites. In-service workshops on activity-based Social Science teaching are provided twice a year.
How to become part of the team
Send your CV and a one-page note on how you would teach “Unity in Diversity” to Class 3 via a story and craft activity to the HR office at Delhi World Public School Agartala, Sadar. Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a classroom demo with a small group of students followed by an informal discussion on Tripura’s history.
