Role Summary
Delhi World Public School Agartala is looking for a Special Educator for the Sadar region of West Tripura. The role involves designing and overseeing individualised learning plans for students with diverse learning needs. The Special Educator will work closely with school leadership to ensure inclusive classroom practices across grades.
What You Will Do
Coordinate with class coordinators to identify students who need additional learning support.
Develop Individualised Education Plans (IEPs) and track progress bi-monthly.
Organise resource room sessions for students requiring focused intervention.
Train classroom assistants on simple adaptation techniques for inclusive teaching.
Maintain confidential records of student profiles and therapy notes.
Liaise with parents during monthly review meetings to share progress updates.
Attend school-level meetings to advocate for resource allocation for special needs.
Support the school counsellor in preparing quarterly reports for the management.
Who Can Apply
Must Have
Graduation from a recognised university with a B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree.
Minimum 3 years of experience in special education or allied roles.
Working knowledge of inclusive education frameworks used in CBSE-affiliated schools.
Good to Have
Prior experience in a residential school or large urban school setup.
Familiarity with local resources available in Agartala for special needs support.
Skills We Value
Strong written and spoken communication in English and Bengali.
Ability to mentor junior staff and manage small teams effectively.
Organised approach with attention to detail in documentation and reporting.
Salary and Benefits
Rs.30,000 – Rs.40,000 per month based on experience and qualifications.
