Ajman American Private School seeks a qualified Us Curriculum Elementary School Islamic Studies Teacher to join our team in Ajman City, Ajman. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering KHDA approved Islamic Studies curriculum to students in a multicultural classroom setting.
KHDA Requirements
To be considered for this role, applicants must hold a Bachelor's degree with a teaching license, or a B.Ed/PgCE qualification. The applicant must also have a minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in Islamic Studies, preferably in a KHDA approved curriculum. A teaching license from the home country with attestation is also required.
Day-to-Day Duties
The Us Curriculum Elementary School Islamic Studies Teacher will be responsible for the following duties:
- Planning and delivering Islamic Studies lessons to students
- Assessing student progress and providing feedback
- Maintaining accurate records of student progress and attendance
- Participating in parent-teacher conferences
- Collaborating with colleagues to develop curriculum
- Reporting to the KHDA on student progress and compliance with curriculum requirements
- Participating in professional development workshops to enhance teaching skills
- Maintaining a safe and inclusive learning environment
- Ensuring compliance with UAE labor laws and Ajman regulations
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for this role, applicants must hold a UAE teaching license from the Ministry of Education or Ajman Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK), or be able to obtain one. A police clearance certificate from the home country with attestation is also required. Applicants must also have a minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in Islamic Studies.
