About This Role
Gems Founders School in Dubai City is looking for a dedicated Uk Primary Computer Science Teacher to join our dynamic team. The role is designed for an educator with strong subject knowledge in computer science and primary teaching experience. You will deliver KHDA approved lessons that build computational thinking and digital literacy in young learners.
What You Will Do
Plan and deliver engaging Computer Science lessons aligned with the KHDA curriculum for primary students aged 5 to 11.
Assess student progress using age-appropriate tools and provide feedback to parents through Gems Founders School systems.
Integrate cross-curricular links between Computer Science and other subjects to reinforce learning across the school.
Manage classroom resources and digital equipment safely and efficiently for practical activities.
Collaborate with the STEAM team to enhance project-based learning opportunities.
Participate in staff professional development sessions and curriculum review meetings.
Support extracurricular activities such as coding clubs or robotics initiatives.
Maintain accurate records of student attainment and attendance in line with school policies.
Required Qualifications
Must Have
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Education, or a related field with a teaching qualification such as B.Ed or PGCE.
Valid teacher license from the UK or home country with attested degree and police clearance certificate.
Minimum 2 years of UK primary teaching experience in Computer Science or ICT.
IELTS 6.0 or above (for non-native English speakers) with minimum 5.5 in each band.
KHDA/MOE teacher license eligibility or current KHDA registration.
Good to Have
Experience teaching the KHDA or ADEK approved curriculum in the UAE.
Training in digital citizenship, online safety, or computational thinking pedagogy.
Familiarity with platforms such as Scratch, Turtle Academy, or LEGO Education SPIKE.
Preferred Skills
Strong classroom management in multicultural environments common at Gems Founders School.
Ability to differentiate learning for students with varying levels of prior exposure to technology.
Tech-savvy with confidence in troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
Excellent communication skills for parent meetings and team collaboration.
Willingness to mentor colleagues on new digital tools and resources.
