Role Summary
We seek an experienced PGT Biology Teacher to join Johns Mary School in Agra, Uttar Pradesh, as part of our ongoing efforts to enhance the school's academic excellence. What You Will Do
- Develop and implement engaging Biology lesson plans for classes 9-12, aligned with the Uttar Pradesh Board curriculum.
- Conduct regular Biology classes, ensuring all students receive comprehensive support and guidance.
- Prepare students for Biology board exams by providing focused coaching and test-taking strategies.
- Collaborate with the HOD to implement school-wide Biology initiatives, improve curriculum design, and assess student progress.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active learning and critical thinking.
- Conduct formative and summative assessments to evaluate student understanding and adjust instruction accordingly.
- Stay updated with the latest developments in Biology education and integrate relevant topics into teaching practices.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a supportive school community.
- Participate in school-wide staff meetings, contribute to policy discussions, and engage in professional development opportunities.
Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for this role, applicants must possess a postgraduate degree in Biology (M.Sc) or a related field and have completed a B.Ed or D.El.Ed program. A minimum of 3 years of teaching experience is required, with a preference for candidates who have cleared TET or CTET. Proficiency in Hindi and English is mandatory.

As a senior member of the teaching staff, the successful candidate will have opportunities to take on leadership roles, including serving as the HOD of the Biology department.
