Role Summary
Johns Mary School invites applications for the position of PRT Science Teacher in Agra, Uttar Pradesh. This full-time role focuses on delivering engaging Science lessons to young learners in a supportive environment. The teacher will plan and conduct experiments, explain concepts clearly, and assess student progress regularly.
Who You Will Teach
You will teach students from diverse backgrounds across Grades 1 to 5 in Agra. The classroom includes children with varying learning styles and abilities. Your role is to ensure each child feels included and confident while learning science.
What You Will Do
Prepare monthly lesson plans aligned with the NCERT Science curriculum for primary grades.
Use simple experiments, charts, and real-life examples to explain scientific concepts.
Provide extra support to students who need more time to grasp topics.
Maintain clean and safe lab setups for hands-on activities in the Science Teaching Job in Agra.
Track daily attendance and submit weekly progress reports to the coordinator.
Conduct regular parent-teacher meetings to discuss student development.
Organize science fairs or exhibitions to showcase student projects.
Collaborate with other PRT teachers to share best practices and resources.
Required Qualifications
Graduation in Science or related field from a recognized university.
Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) or Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed).
Minimum 2 years of experience teaching Science at the primary level.
Willingness to work in Agra and adapt to local classroom needs.
Preferred Skills
Familiarity with inclusive teaching methods for mixed-ability classrooms.
Patience and strong communication skills in Hindi and English.
Ability to create low-cost teaching aids using locally available materials.
Willingness to attend professional development sessions at Johns Mary School.
