Role Summary
Delhi Public School Amroha is seeking an experienced and passionate PGT Chemistry Teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Chemistry to senior secondary students, preparing them for board exams, and guiding them towards academic excellence. As a PGT Chemistry Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping the minds of our students and contributing to the school's mission of providing quality education.
Day-to-Day Duties
- Teach Chemistry to senior secondary students, focusing on theoretical and practical aspects of the subject.
- Prepare students for board exams, ensuring they meet the required standards.
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans, incorporating modern teaching methods and technology.
- Assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance.
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan and implement co-curricular activities and projects.
- Mentor junior teachers and provide academic support as needed.
- Attend staff meetings and contribute to the school's academic planning and decision-making process.
- Develop and maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment, promoting student well-being and social responsibility.
- Engage with parents and guardians to discuss student progress and provide regular updates.
- Participate in school events, exhibitions, and fairs, showcasing student work and achievements.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Chemistry or a related field (M.Sc)
- B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree (Bachelor of Education or Diploma in Elementary Education)
- NET or SET certification in Chemistry (National Eligibility Test or State Eligibility Test)
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a PGT Chemistry Teacher in a senior secondary school
- Strong subject knowledge and teaching skills, with a focus on practical application and student-centered learning
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students
