About This Role
We are seeking a dedicated TGT Biology Teacher to join our team at Delhi Public School Amroha in Amroha, Uttar Pradesh. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Biology to students in grades 6-10, developing engaging lesson plans, and assessing student performance.
What You Will Do
- Teach Biology to students in grades 6-10, focusing on conceptual understanding and practical applications
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to different learning styles and abilities
- Assess student performance through periodic tests and evaluations
- Prepare students for board exams and other assessments
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum changes
- Participate in school activities, such as science fairs and educational events
- Maintain a well-organized and student-centered classroom environment
- Communicate with parents and guardians to keep them informed of student progress
- Contribute to the development of school policies and procedures related to Biology education
Required Qualifications - Must Have
- Post-graduate degree in Biology or a related field
- B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification
- CTET or TET certification is desirable but not essential
- Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in a school setting
Required Qualifications - Good to Have
- NET or SET qualification in Biology
- M.Ed or M.A. in Education
- Experience with curriculum development and implementation
- Familiarity with Biology education in Indian schools
Preferred Skills
- Strong knowledge of Biology curriculum and pedagogy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Familiarity with educational technology and digital resources
Salary and Benefits
