Regular Responsibilities Across the Academic Cycle
Develop and update curriculum materials, including textbooks, worksheets, and digital resources to support diverse learning needs. Collaborate with colleagues to design interdisciplinary projects that integrate English with other subjects like science or social studies. Participate in school-wide events such as poetry recitals, debates, and cultural fests to foster a love for English among students. Assist in organizing extracurricular activities like literary clubs or writing competitions to encourage creativity and public speaking skills.
Periodic Responsibilities
Conduct regular assessments and evaluations to measure student performance in reading, writing, listening, and speaking. Prepare progress reports and communicate with parents regarding their children’s academic growth and areas needing improvement. Attend departmental meetings and workshops to stay updated on teaching methodologies and educational trends in English.
Qualifications and Experience
Hold a postgraduate degree in English or a related field with at least four years of teaching experience. Possession of a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) or Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) is mandatory. While TET/CTET is not mandatory for this role, a valid teaching certification would be highly beneficial. Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken, are essential for interacting with students and parents effectively.
Salary and Location
