Sunbeam School | Ballia is seeking a dedicated PGT Botany Teacher to join their team and inspire students with in-depth knowledge of plant biology, ecology, and related fields. The successful candidate will play a key part in delivering high-quality botany education aligned with CBSE and Uttar Pradesh Board curricula, fostering curiosity and scientific inquiry among students.
The PGT Botany Teacher at Sunbeam School | Ballia will be responsible for designing and delivering advanced botany lessons, covering topics like plant physiology, genetics, and biodiversity. Daily teaching duties include conducting interactive lectures, organizing field trips to local botanical gardens or agricultural farms in Ballia, and supervising lab work. The teacher will also prepare detailed lesson plans, assess student performance through practical exams and projects, and maintain a supportive learning atmosphere. Collaboration with the science department will ensure seamless integration of botany with other subjects like chemistry and environmental science. Additionally, the role involves mentoring students for competitive exams like NEET, ensuring they grasp foundational concepts for higher studies.
A strong command of botany principles and a passion for nurturing scientific passion are essential. The ideal candidate will have a postgraduate degree in Botany or a related field, with at least three years of teaching experience at the secondary or senior secondary level. A B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification is mandatory, along with proficiency in teaching methodologies tailored for diverse student backgrounds. While TET/CTET certification is not strictly required, it will be highly beneficial for career growth. Experience in motivating students through experiential learning—such as conducting experiments with local flora or discussing Uttar Pradesh’s agricultural heritage—will be a significant asset.
