Position summary
St. Xavier Sr. Sec. School | Balrampur invites applications for a PGT Biology Teacher. The role focuses on delivering engaging biology lessons to classes 11 and 12, guiding students through NCERT concepts, and preparing them for competitive exams. The teacher will also participate in school science fairs and inter‑school competitions.
Reporting and scope
The teacher reports directly to the Head of Science Department.
Core duties
Curriculum delivery and lesson planning for Biology classes 11 and 12.
Assessment and grading of student work, including internal tests and project reports.
Facilitation of practical laboratory sessions, ensuring safety protocols and resource management.
Mentoring students for state and national level exams, providing study material and mock tests.
Collaboration with fellow teachers to integrate interdisciplinary projects and school events.
Maintenance of classroom discipline and promotion of a positive learning environment.
Qualification and experience
Post‑graduation in Biology or related discipline. B.Ed or D.El.Ed mandatory; TET/CTET preferred. Minimum of 2 years teaching experience at the secondary or higher secondary level.
Strong command over NCERT Biology syllabus and examination patterns.
Good communication skills in Hindi and English.
Compensation and location
Full‑time position at St. Xavier Sr. Sec. School | Balrampur. Salary range Rs.38,000 – Rs.60,000 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications. The school is located in Balrampur, Uttar Pradesh.
