Job Description
PGT Philosophy Teacher Job in St. Xaviers Senior Secondary School, Balrampur
A Philosophy teacher at St. Xaviers Senior Secondary School shapes young minds by fostering critical thinking and ethical reasoning. Your expertise in philosophy helps students explore complex ideas, develop logical arguments, and understand the foundations of human thought. This role goes beyond teaching—it’s about inspiring curiosity and helping students navigate moral dilemmas with clarity and confidence.
Your presence in the Philosophy department strengthens its reputation as a hub for intellectual growth. By guiding students through ancient texts, modern philosophical movements, and contemporary debates, you create an environment where they learn to question, analyze, and engage deeply with life’s biggest questions. This influence extends beyond the classroom, shaping how students approach problem-solving and decision-making in all areas of life.
Your teaching style should encourage open dialogue, making philosophy accessible yet meaningful. You’ll design lessons that balance theoretical depth with practical relevance, ensuring students see philosophy as a living discipline, not just an academic subject. This approach helps them develop resilience, empathy, and a lifelong love for learning.
To qualify, hold a postgraduate degree in Philosophy or a related field. A Bachelor’s in Education (B.Ed) or Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) is essential, along with a teaching license such as TET or CTET. Two years of relevant teaching experience will further strengthen your ability to inspire and mentor students effectively.
This full-time position offers a monthly salary of Rs.38,000 to Rs.60,000, making it a rewarding opportunity to make a lasting impact in Balrampur and the surrounding Ballia district. Your role here is not just about imparting knowledge but nurturing thinkers who will shape the future.
