Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and qualified Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) Economics to join our faculty at a premium boarding school in a Tier 3 city. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences to students of Economics, ensuring academic excellence and personal growth.

Growth Path:

The PGT Economics will be part of a team of experienced educators and will be expected to contribute to the development of the Economics department. The role will provide opportunities for professional growth and development, including participation in curriculum design, teaching methodologies, and assessment strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Teach Economics to students at various levels, including classes 11 and 12, as per the school's curriculum and syllabus.
2. Prepare and deliver high-quality lesson plans, ensuring that the learning objectives and outcomes are met.
3. Conduct regular assessments, evaluations, and feedback sessions to monitor student progress and understanding.
4. Develop and implement innovative teaching methodologies to engage students and enhance their learning experience.
5. Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement co-curricular activities, projects, and events that promote academic excellence and personal growth.
6. Participate in curriculum design, development, and review to ensure that the Economics curriculum meets the needs of students and aligns with national and international standards.
7. Provide guidance and support to students, including those with special needs, to ensure that they achieve their academic potential.
8. Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and assessments.
9. Participate in school events, activities, and functions, including parent-teacher meetings, assemblies, and extracurricular events.
10. Comply with all school policies, procedures, and regulations, including those related to student safety, well-being, and discipline.

Teaching Methodology:

Minimum Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Economics or a related field from a recognized university.
- Master's degree in Economics or a related field from a recognized university.
- 3 years of teaching experience in Economics at the senior secondary level.
- Strong knowledge of Economics, including theory, concepts, and applications.

Preferred Requirements:

- Experience in teaching Economics to students of diverse abilities and learning styles.
- Familiarity with curriculum design, development, and implementation.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to use technology to enhance teaching and learning.
- Experience in mentoring and guiding students.

Performance Expectations:

1. Academic Performance: Students under the PGT Economics's care will achieve a minimum of 75% attendance and a minimum of 80% pass percentage in the Economics board exams.
2. Student Progress: Students will demonstrate improvement in their understanding and application of Economics concepts, as measured by regular assessments and evaluations.
3. Teacher Evaluation: The PGT Economics will receive a minimum of 85% in the Teacher Evaluation conducted by the school.
4. Professional Development: The PGT Economics will participate in at least two professional development programs or workshops per year, as approved by the school.

Salary and Compensation:

The PGT Economics will receive a monthly salary of Rs. 80,000, plus a one-time joining bonus of Rs. 2 lakh. The salary will be paid on the 10th of every month.
