Job Overview
As a senior member of Bk Public School's academic team, we seek a highly qualified and experienced PGT Biology Teacher to join our faculty and potentially take on leadership roles within the Biology department. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Biology to students at the 11th and 12th standard, leading the department, and mentoring junior staff members.
Day-to-Day Duties
- Develop and implement engaging Biology curriculum for students of 11th and 12th standard
- Prepare and deliver lectures, conduct practicals, and assess student performance
- Set and mark assignments, projects, and exams for Biology
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and performance
- Mentor and support junior Biology teachers and staff members
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to policy development
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement school policies and procedures
- Conduct parent-teacher meetings to discuss student progress and address concerns
- Support and contribute to extracurricular activities and events related to Biology
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for this role, candidates must hold a postgraduate degree in Biology (M.Sc or equivalent) with a minimum of 55% marks. In addition, candidates must have a B.Ed degree and a minimum of 5 years of teaching experience in a recognized school. NET or SET qualification is preferred but not mandatory.
