The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm for literature, grammar, and creative expression while adapting teaching methods to diverse learning needs.
Core Responsibilities in English Teaching
Your primary duty will be to deliver high-quality English language instruction across grades. This includes teaching grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, writing skills, and speaking fluency. You’ll design lesson plans that align with curriculum standards while encouraging critical thinking and cultural awareness. Classroom management will also be key—ensuring a structured yet interactive learning environment where students feel motivated to participate.
Subject-Specific Focus Areas
Literature forms a significant part of your role, with an emphasis on poetry, short stories, and classic texts. You’ll guide students through analysis, discussion, and creative responses to deepen their understanding. Additionally, you’ll incorporate modern English usage, including media literacy and digital communication skills. Pronunciation drills, speaking exercises, and oral presentations will be regularly integrated to build confidence in public speaking.
Assessment and Student Development
Regular assessments will be conducted through quizzes, projects, and written tests to gauge progress. Your role includes evaluating students’ writing abilities, comprehension skills, and language proficiency while providing constructive feedback. You’ll also track individual student growth, identifying areas needing extra support or enrichment. Collaboration with other teachers and parents will help ensure holistic development.
Planning and Professional Growth
Weekly lesson planning will be essential, ensuring content is engaging and age-appropriate. You’ll stay updated on teaching methodologies, educational trends, and curriculum updates to refine your approach. Participation in school workshops or training sessions will be encouraged to enhance your pedagogical skills. A passion for continuous learning will be valued, as you’ll contribute to improving Genius Public School’s English education standards.
Qualifications and Expectations
To qualify, you must hold a B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree with at least two years of teaching experience in English. While TET/CTET certification is not mandatory, it will be an asset. Your teaching style should balance clarity with creativity, ensuring students grasp complex concepts through interactive methods. A strong command of English, both written and spoken, is a must, along with patience and adaptability to handle diverse student backgrounds.
This position offers a salary of Rs.17,000 to Rs.30,000 per month, depending on qualifications and experience. If you’re passionate about nurturing young learners in English and eager to contribute to Genius Public School’s academic excellence, this could be the perfect opportunity.
