3. Prepare students for inter-school music competitions and cultural events.
4. Teach vocal techniques, instrument handling, and music theory as per syllabus requirements.
5. Assess student progress through periodic tests, recitals, and practical examinations.
6. Maintain attendance records, mark sheets, and progress reports for each student.
7. Organize annual music festivals and thematic performances at St. Xavier High School.
8. Collaborate with art and dance teachers to integrate music into school events.
9. Provide guidance to students interested in pursuing music at higher education levels.
Required Qualifications
Must Have:
- Postgraduate degree in Music (Vocal/Instrumental) from a recognized university.
- B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree with Music as a teaching subject.
- Minimum 3 years of teaching experience in a senior secondary school.
- Proficiency in Hindustani and Western music traditions.
- Ability to play at least one musical instrument (sitar, tabla, keyboard, or guitar).
Good to Have:
- TET or CTET certification.
- Experience in coaching students for All India Radio or national-level music competitions.
- Knowledge of music production software like Audacity or FL Studio.
- Participation in national or state-level music workshops or seminars.
