About This Role
St. Xavier High School is looking for a full-time Primary Resource Teacher (PRT) for Music at its Rudrapur campus. The role involves teaching music to students from classes 1 to 5, planning lessons, and organizing cultural events. Experience in school-level music education is necessary.
What You Will Do
Teach vocal and instrumental music to young learners.
Plan weekly lesson plans aligned with the school curriculum.
Conduct music practice sessions for school assemblies and events.
Prepare students for inter-school music competitions.
Organize annual day performances and cultural programs.
Collaborate with other PRTs for cross-curricular music activities.
Assess student progress through regular performance reviews.
Maintain music instruments and classroom resources.
Required Qualifications
Must Have
Bachelor’s degree in Music or related field.
B.Ed or D.El.Ed from a recognized institution.
Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in a school.
Good to Have
TET or CTET certification.
Experience in Western or Indian classical music.
Familiarity with digital music tools for teaching.
Preferred Skills
Strong vocal and instrumental skills in at least one genre.
Ability to engage young students in music learning.
Basic knowledge of music theory and notation.
Fluency in Hindi and English for classroom communication.

Salary range is Rs.15,000 to Rs.30,000 per month based on experience.
