This is a senior position within the English department at P.d International School, Farrukhabad. The role carries departmental ownership for curriculum delivery, assessment design, and board results for Classes 6 to 10. What You Will Do
Plan and execute the annual English curriculum for TGT classes with clear milestones aligned to CBSE standards.
Prepare quarterly unit tests, half-yearly assessments, and sample papers for board readiness, ensuring coverage of prose, poetry, grammar, and writing.
Conduct demonstration lessons every month for junior English staff to model effective TGT pedagogy and differentiated instruction.
Analyze board result trends, identify weak areas in student comprehension, and redesign remedial modules for targeted improvement.
Organize the annual English festival and inter-house recitation competitions to build oratory and creative expression among students.
Collaborate with the school librarian to curate age-appropriate English fiction and non-fiction for the library corner.
Prepare students for national Olympiads and inter-school literary fests through after-school enrichment sessions.
Maintain accurate lesson plans, assessment records, and progress portfolios for every TGT English class.
Represent the English department in PTA meetings and parent orientation sessions to communicate curriculum expectations.
Eligibility Criteria
Postgraduate degree in English from a recognized university with minimum 55% marks.
B.Ed or D.El.Ed from an NCTE-recognized institution.
Minimum 5 years of full-time English teaching experience in a CBSE-affiliated school.
TET/CTET qualification preferred but not mandatory.
Strong command of spoken and written English, with fluency in regional dialects for effective local communication.
