Job Overview
The Hostel Warden is a key leadership position at St. Xaviers High School responsible for overseeing the safety, discipline, and daily operations of the boys’ hostel in Fatehpur Sadar. Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily hostel activities including meal timings, study hours, and bedtime routines for 50+ resident students.
Ensure strict adherence to hostel rules and safety protocols, conducting regular room inspections and surprise checks.
Coordinate with the school administration and kitchen staff to maintain hygiene and quality standards in dining and living areas.
Address student grievances promptly and liaise with parents regarding attendance, behavior, or health concerns.
Supervise the work of hostel attendants and cleaners, ensuring timely completion of assigned tasks.
Organize recreational and skill-building activities during weekends and holidays to foster a balanced student life.
Maintain accurate records of student attendance, leave applications, and disciplinary actions taken.
Handle emergencies such as medical issues, power cuts, or security breaches with calm and decisive action.

Required Qualifications
Graduation in any discipline from a recognized university.
Minimum 2 years of experience in hostel management, residential care, or school administration.
Strong understanding of student safety norms and basic first aid procedures.

Good to Have
Prior experience in a residential school or NGO-run hostel in Uttar Pradesh.
Familiarity with fire safety drills and emergency response protocols.

Preferred Skills
Natural leadership with the ability to mentor young students in discipline and values.
Excellent communication skills in Hindi and English to interact with students, parents, and staff.
Problem-solving mindset with patience and emotional resilience for long duty hours.
