Key Responsibilities
1. Curriculum ownership: Develop and implement Physics curriculum in accordance with State Board of Uttar Pradesh guidelines.
2. Teaching and mentoring: Teach Physics to high school students and mentor junior staff members to enhance their teaching skills.
3. Board results analysis: Analyze board results to identify areas of improvement and develop strategies to enhance student performance.
4. Departmental management: Oversee the day-to-day functioning of the Physics department, ensuring smooth operations and high-quality teaching.
5. Teacher training: Provide training and guidance to junior staff members on pedagogy, assessment, and curriculum development.
6. Parent-teacher interactions: Maintain open communication with parents, keeping them informed about student progress and addressing their concerns.
7. Resource management: Manage departmental resources, including textbooks, equipment, and technology, to support teaching and learning.
8. Budget planning: Assist in budget planning and resource allocation for the Physics department.
9. Collaboration with other departments: Work collaboratively with other departments to develop interdisciplinary learning opportunities for students.
Required Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess a master's degree in Physics and a B.Ed degree. A NET or SET qualification is preferred. The candidate should have at least 5 years of teaching experience, with at least 2 years of experience in a leadership role. Familiarity with the State Board of Uttar Pradesh curriculum is essential.
