Role Summary
As a TGT English Teacher at Sarla Chopra Dav Public School, you will be responsible for creating engaging learning experiences for students in grades 6-10. Your expertise in English teaching will help students develop a strong foundation in language, literature, and communication skills. You will be part of a dynamic team that prioritizes student-centered learning and inclusive pedagogy.
Your Students
You will be working with students from diverse learning levels, including those with special needs, English language learners, and gifted and talented students. Your inclusive approach will help create a supportive classroom environment where every student feels valued and encouraged to participate. Your understanding of the local culture and language will also enable you to connect with families and foster a sense of community in Gautam Buddha Nagar.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and deliver differentiated instruction to cater to various learning levels and abilities
* Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that incorporate practical activities, group discussions, and assessments
* Use technology to enhance teaching and learning, such as digital resources and online platforms
* Collaborate with colleagues to plan and implement co-curricular activities that promote language and literacy skills
* Provide feedback and support to students to improve their writing, reading, and speaking skills
* Conduct regular assessments to monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
* Communicate with parents and guardians to keep them informed about student learning and progress
* Participate in staff meetings and professional development workshops to stay updated on best practices in English teaching
Required Qualifications
* B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree in English or a related field from a recognized university
* CTET qualification is mandatory
* Strong knowledge of English language, literature, and pedagogy
* Experience working with students from diverse learning levels and backgrounds
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
