Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver comprehensive sociology lessons aligned with the state syllabus, ensuring clarity and relevance for students.
- Use interactive discussions, case studies, and real‑world examples to illustrate sociological concepts and encourage analytical thinking.
- Conduct regular formative assessments through quizzes, class debates, and written assignments to gauge student progress.
- Provide constructive feedback on assignments and examinations, helping students identify strengths and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers to integrate cross‑disciplinary projects that enrich the learning experience.
- Maintain accurate attendance records, report card entries, and student performance data in a timely manner.
- Participate in school committees and parent‑teacher meetings to support overall student development.
Qualifications
- Post‑graduate degree in Sociology or a related field.
- B.Ed or D.El.Ed required; TET/CTET preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong command of English and Hindi to facilitate clear communication in the classroom.
Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience at the secondary or senior secondary level, preferably in a school setting.
- Demonstrated ability to create an inclusive and engaging learning environment.
Salary
Rs.35,000 – Rs.55,000 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
