Classroom Profile
The PRT Art And Craft Teacher will handle students from Grades 1 to 5 across two sections each. The class strength is around 35 children, each bringing a unique perspective to the art room. The school’s activity-based learning approach means your lessons should be hands-on, safe, and inclusive for all skill levels.
What You Will Do
Introduce age-appropriate art techniques like origami, block printing, and watercolor blending to build fine motor skills and imagination. Plan monthly themes around festivals, nature, and cultural events relevant to Ghaziabad and Uttar Pradesh. Organize a small annual art exhibition where students showcase their best work to parents and teachers.
Prepare low-cost material lists and keep the art corner stocked with recycled materials like old newspapers, cardboard, and fabric scraps. Maintain a visual display board that changes every two weeks to reflect student progress and new techniques. Conduct periodic skill assessments through simple rubrics shared with parents during PTMs.
Collaborate with the PRT team to integrate art into storytelling, math patterns, and science models to reinforce classroom learning. Keep a portfolio of student artwork to track growth and share highlights in school newsletters and WhatsApp groups.
Eligibility Criteria
Graduation in any discipline from a recognized university is required. B.Ed or D.El.Ed must be completed with a minimum of 50% marks. TET or CTET certification is preferred but not mandatory. Prior experience of at least 3 years in teaching Art And Craft at the primary level is necessary.
Preferred Skills
Fluency in Hindi and basic English to explain techniques clearly to young learners. Experience in handling group activities and managing classroom supplies efficiently. Familiarity with local art forms like Madhubani or Warli to add cultural context to lessons.
